This day was so full of colors and adventure. I was photographing this one tree and it was not going well when an older woman came up to me to see what I was doing. She told me to go see her backyard as her trees in the backyard were very pretty this time of year. Hesitantly, I went back and holy guacamole! Two acres of beautiful Japanese maples, flowers, and a bambo forest. I'm very happy with what I shot, still more editing to go!

Store Update!!!!!!!!!!
Hello all! So, now that summer is almost over I've finally put in a lot of work to the shop with five new items posted today and a lot more tomorrow. I really have no interest in going back to school but alas. Enjoy.

Autralian Invasion
I have never really thought about Australia in a retro way until I stumbled across myPetsQuare. This Australian brand looks ridiculously flattering and comfortable. The two models they used for their most recent lookbook are also adorable!

Cotton Bird Designs
A lovely tutorial to make this here.
I recently stumbled upon Cotton Bird Designs which makes these lovely boats out of vintage books and fell in love. I first fell in love with paper boats after seeing Anna Wood's work who did the tutorial at the top of the page. My friend Ali and I made a bunch of these and hung them from a tree in our courtyard at the Villa Rossa. I miss that place! I definitely want to make some of these this weekend and will be starting several sewing projects.
completed project!
